Makeover of the new era - First World Hotel, Genting Highlands

New generation, new era. Resorts World Genting is set to be one of the largest integrated resort in the region and surprise all guests and the people around the world with their new features ranging from accommodation to entertainment to F&B.

The transformation that has taken place the last few years results in good outcomes: new accommodation has been constructed, restaurants have been refurbished with a huge variety of choices for guests to dine in. The most exciting and long awaited Twentieth Century Fox World Theme Park is unveiled.
Among the new features at Resorts World Genting are the new living spaces in First World Hotel. Apart from that, the newly well-proportioned of Tower 2 Annex, an extension to Tower 2.
Resort World Genting is one of the largest hotels in the world. Phase one of the extension opened with 412 rooms and the balance of 874 is targeted to open soon, bringing the total to 1,286 rooms. The overall number of rooms at the hotel will ultimately be 7,351... and that's a lot of room.
With much neater and impressive contemporary setting in the lobby and completes with a set of 3D television visuals, chill music and a designer's featured wall.
Five-star service in three-star setting

There's so much improvement throughout its opening since 1995. With their courteous services and professional staffs that are motivated and determined to serve, they deliver their best service.
In line with growing trends, rooms are sold without breakfast as there are many options in the complex for guests to enjoy the meal of their choice.

Newly constructed Terminal 2 Cafe, located in the lobby features freshly baked pastries, soups, snacks and beverages from 7.30am to midnight. So if you're doing your work or need to access any Wi-Fi, head down to the cafe for a drink, and to enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi.
Modern and funky functional rooms

Newly revamped and highly organized rooms that make everyone happy. The new annex makes better use of space, compared to the initial two towers of First World Hotel. Designed to be more functional and convenient and funky, the guest rooms comes in lively and vibrant splashes of color or design. The whole purpose of the construction is to standardize the hotel experience and enhancement of the room interiors that is centered on a great bed to ensure a good night's rest.
Frosted lime green/yellow glass walls act as dividers between the toilet, shower and sink, and the wooden floor as a warm sand color. The purpose of this design is to extend the limited space, if let's say Guest A is using the toilet, Guest B is showering, and Guest C is brushing his/her teeth. Apart from that, the room comes with either two single beds or a double, and an open hanging cupboard provides good storage space.
For refreshments, the usual kettle with tea and coffee-making facilities await on a spacious bench top.
You do not have to bring your charger anymore because the room provides a few built-in USB cord and it's pretty convenient. Other features such as flat-screen television with in-house and local channels, telephone, mini fridge and a large laptop-sized in-room safe.
Easy Walking Distance to the Indoor Theme Park

The First World Hotel is within easy walking distance to the various highlights of Resorts World Genting, namely Genting International Convention Centre (GICC), Horizon 50, Arena of Stars and the soon to be opened Sky Avenue Mall. Retail and dining outlets, indoor theme park and Cineplex are all easily accessible.
Remember this old jolly welly theme park?
This photo was taken by me in 2009.. Old good memories.

And it is also within walking distance from the outdoor 20th Century Fox World Theme Park that will open in 2016.
